As a side note, my birthday yesterday was just about perfect, and I discovered that blackberry/chocolate chip pancakes and apple cider bacon are together the greatest breakfast in the history of ever. But is certainly only a once in a great while treat...

Phew! So there are about 8,000 things I should post about. The holidays, (Including a lovely New Year's), the new boy (Marco, the increasingly friendly cat) the Bride Wars premiere party, and so much more, but that will have to wait.
First of all, it looks like my holiday party plans will have to be scrapped due to not being able to figure out a good date that isn't already taken. This seems to be my curse. So I'm going way in advance here with my B-Day plans!
WHAT: Hopefully getting a bunch of people together in a relaxed chill setting, beginning with a sojurn to see CORALINE
WHEN: This is where the WAY in advance kicks in; FEB 21 (The Saturday before my birthday) whatever time seems to work out best. If people are interested, please let me know. I won't need a definite head count, but it would be nice to make plans a lil bit in advance for finding a place to go get dinner and whatnot.
WHERE: Most likely Liberty Tree Mall, but I would not be opposed to people trying to convince me to go to a different cinema, but the reasoning better be good. ;)
Love and miss you all!!
PS - If people know of a good time coming up in the next week or so for a pseudo after holiday get together, feel free to let me know. I have no objection to seeing people sooner :)
So we got back from that, and I had about an hour and a half of sleep before going to an all day shoot for a TV pilot. Not sure if I'm allowed to give details, but it is for a major network. I had an absolute blast as the people were extremely fun to work with, and I even spent a bunch of time chatting with the stars and a very kind stunt coordinator who gave me some good advice. But the best thing is:
I got my first Union (AFTRA) Voucher!! Hey, it's not SAG, but it's a start, and I'm so very excited!
Dan, Godsteve and I do NOT live in Western Mass....
We still live in Salem. My FAMILY lives in Western Mass and we often go visit.
Oh, and if you care, I really don't use LJ or Facebook much at all anymore.
I can still be found on AIM sometimes as KetalaSt, but I spend most of my time building for an online game (MUD), getting some work in film and commercials, doing photography and making jewelry. Tonight we are going to see The Who, and in November we have 5th row seats to the WWE Survivor Series.
That is all, please return to your regularly scheduled LiveJournal.
Oh, if you play on MUDs and are interested, drop me a line and I'll give you the address.
If anyone wants a good big TV, I'd much rather sell it to someone we know, and will certainly go down on the price.
Thanks!
Cleaning house has been fun. We were out in western mass this past weekend, I'll give details later... We're going out there again THIS weekend.
Whew!
Tomorrow is
Also, we have an acquisition that I will post pictures of soon... I was waiting to post until everything turned out well with it...
"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed a cruel plan to kill all the feral cats on San Nicholas Island—that’s as many as 200—using leghold traps and hunters with dogs. Your written feedback to the Fish and Wildlife Service is vitally needed by tomorrow, Tuesday, June 17."
Please send an e-mail through their system to help prevent the killing of cats on San Nicolas island. Action needs to be taken NOW!
Please pass this on to everyone you know.
Thank you!

It isn't good to be the king.
Or queen.
Or anybody.
Most people I know barely have heard of Jethro Tull and the Moody Blues. the Who is a different story of course, but what about singers like Tom Rush, or even Cat Stevens? Does anyone of my generation really know or like them?
My fave bands are the Who, Moody Blues and Jethro Tull. Does anyone else here like them? Or have similar bands that they feel people don't remember?
Did I make a post like this before? Am I becoming senile already?
Anyway, wicked excited to go see Jethro Tull with Dan. It will be my second time seeing them, as the first time I saw them was around 5 or 6 years ago at Tanglewood. They are amazing!
So I bought Jenna's camera from her. I had been wanting the exact model that she was selling, so it worked out well. We're the adopted parents of the camera.
And so, I have started a photo LJ. Feel free to add me, but know that it is going to be photo heavy. Tonight I took some pics of stuff around the house and Godsteve (who really is stuff around the house too). After this first post I'll be putting most of it behind a cut, but I liked how this looked all together. So take a look if you wanna!
Lesse, first of all, Demonslayers went well, apart from having to cancel one day due to my ridiculous non-being able to breathe from the coughing illness. I had done the previous Sunday show with a temp of around 101, which I do not recommend to anyone who has fights in a show, it made for a very difficult time, but fortunately all the fights still went without a hitch, and the audience loved it all the same. We made decent money to give to charity, so that is really good, and JT and Amy were fantasticaly helpful. All things considered, I'm rather relieved that the show is over. Although, there is the rumor that a sequel is in the works ;)
I am no longer working with John Hancock. My headache "thing" made it impossible to work there, so there you go. I have saved up enough money to allow me to take some time to just try to focus on getting acting work.
NOTICE FOR THOSE THAT ARE ASKING REGARDING CALIFORNIA: Dan and I are putting off Cali for a bit as there are supposed to be a TON of movies filming here this summer, and rather than spend money to move out there and work as extras, we're going to try it here for a bit and hopefully have something to put on our resumes for when we do make the jump to the West Coast. So yes, we will be around at least this summer, and depending on if we are getting work, perhaps longer.
I did a stage combat workshop for some middle school kids while we were in the midst of Tech Week for Demonslayers, which I do not suggest for one's sanity overall, but they were wonderful, and they particularly loved learning how to fall down. I'd forgotten how much I like teaching, as it had been almost a year since the last time I taught. Possibility for the future? Not as my only thing, but maybe someday I'd like to be a movement/fighty teacher. Not for a long time though. I don't want to be the teacher that never went out and did anything.
Had a lovely several days at home with Dan and my folks. It seemed like the trip of eating things; lunch at Fresh Pasta in NoHo (Dan and I both had pesto chicken with asparagus and sweet potato ravioli with gorgonzola garlic bread and chocolate torte, wow), Cornish Game Hens cooked by my mom, breakfast at Elmer's, a picnic by the river with several VERY yummy cheeses, dinner at my fave restaurant in the world: Bizen, for Godzilla sushi, tuna carpaccio and lots of plum wine, and on the last day, a cookout of epic proportions, with my homemade bbq sauce for chicken, steak, marinated fiddleheads, my mom's potato salad which rules supreme over all other potato salads, shrimp, raspberry mead and strawberry shortcake with my hand whipped almond/vanilla/maple whipped cream. Phew!
Fighty was much fun, as Dan and I basically goofed around with our lightsabers. A double bladed lightsaber is much harder to work with than one would think! But it ended up being a pretty cool fight that we came up with, and I got my hand cut off!! Like not for real or anything... It was wonderful seeing people, particularly Kate and Justin, whom we have not had a chance to see in quite some time.
I am EPICALLY looking forward to the Cabin Party.
